The Easy Way To Quit Smoking
How many times do people pretend to themselves that they are going to go ahead and quit smoking? If you happen
to be committing the same errors as the majority of smokers, then you have probably said over and over that you
will finally stop smoking. Of course, most people start off because it was cool when they were younger: but it just
isn't cool, not any more and never in reality! Especially if you started off at about 10 years of age.
Of course, at this point in the game we all know what the health consequences of smoking are: asthma, constant
coughing, cancer of the lungs and a whole host of other complications that are very, very serious and ought to be
enough on their own for anyone to stop smoking. It is time to kick the addiction (and of course, recognize that one
is actually an addict) and regain your health, so take that big step and finally kick the habit for good!
The major stumbling block for most people to stop smoking comes in the form of the withdrawal symptoms, which
most people say they simply can't tolerate. These symptoms may include, among other things:
- Major swings in one's mood
- Over-eating
- Putting on weight
- Anxiety
What we know is that the nicotine in tobacco contributes to serious heart problems, and also accelerates the
hardening of your arteries. It will increase your blood pressure and it will increase your heart rate, all of which
are conditions that are major contriubting factors for heart attacks and other serious, long term heart problems.
That's not even counting all the bad stuff that smoking does to your lungs. When you factor in the fact that many
people find smoking near them to be a major nuisance then you really have a terrible overall picture being painted.
Hopefully, among all these critical issues the average smoker (or better yet, all smokers) can find at least a few
reasons to actually quit once and for all.
